I have eaten at El Maguey several times over the years and I always thought it was "okay" or "pretty good". I ate there this Tuesday night and I could not believe how GREAT it was. I had the Mexicana Enchiladas I think it was called, for $9.99. 3 enchiladas, one each of chicken, beef and pork, with 3 different sauces: verde, mole and colorado. OH. MY. GOD. I live in Utah and we have a lot of good mexican food out here, but I have to say this is absolutely the BEST mexican food I have ever eaten in my life! I don't know if they have changed ownership or management or if they have a new cook, but whatever the reason, my meal was terrific! I can't wait to eat there when I visit Salem again. I don't remember the name of my waiter but he said it was his first day on the job. He did just fine, brought more chips and salsa and water promptly.

I live in New Albany. We came to have my car fixed. We went here for lunch and it was the dopest. Riley was awesome. I loved or did coming out on the pig. The blue margarita was sub par but the bloody Mary was awesome. I like that the beer came in a mason jar and soft drinks in large salsa containers. Ur was also awesome that it happened to be kids eat free day! I'd be willing to drive 40 minutes to come back. Oh and I loved seeing Selena on the wall and available on the juke box.

Awesome food and a great place to have a drink. Friendly staff and plenty of college basketball on television!
